The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, 24th October 2004 at Karl Borromäus-Platz 3 (Amtshaus for the 3. District) in Vienna/Austria, starting at 19.00, in presence of our beloved Swamiji and his Excellency Dr. Sheel Kant Sharma, Ambassador of India to Austria as well as many other guests.
Inspired by His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, tireless advocate of world peace, the Slovenian Hindu religious community organised a multi-religious prayer for world peace in Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana. This was the second event of this kind in Slovenia. People of Ljubljana and its surroundings, as well as from other Slovenian cities, embraced the event and participated in great numbers. Everyone came with the intention of putting aside differences and uniting in that which we all have in common – a longing for peace.
