Slovenia's main celebration of IDY - International Day of Yoga - taking place in the beautiful nature of Mozirje Botanical Garden.

At the Sport and Innovation International Conference 2017, initiated and organized by the University of Physical Education in Budapest, Hungary, senior YIDL Teacher, Tyagpuri (Tibor Kökény), gave a lecture on the topic of 'Yogic breathing techniques as the possible means of enhancing athletes' efficiency in concentration, regeneration and stress management'.

On his World Peace Tour, Vishwaguruji had numerous programs in Vancouver, Canada as well as Auckland, Wellington and the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand.

On the weekend of 28-30 April 2017, the first module of the professional 'Yoga Teacher Vocational Training Program' commenced, at a weekend seminar in the Yoga in Daily Life Center in Zagreb.

In recognition of his decades of promoting yoga and humanitarian activities, and his first personal visit to Cuba, the Casa de Iberoamerica in the city of Holguin, awarded him a Golden Plaque with the symbol of the city.
